Dr Anu is an Australian-trained Urologist with a specialised focus on female urology, reconstructive and neurourology, in addition to general urology. She prides herself on providing compassionate and understanding care tailored to individual patient needs.
Dr Anu commenced her surgical career with five years of general surgical training, including three years under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons General Surgical Training Programme. She subsequently specialised in Urology training in New South Wales, earning her Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Urology in 2017. Following this achievement, Dr Anu completed a prestigious sub-specialty fellowship in Female, Functional, and Reconstructive Surgery at University College London Hospital (UCLH), mentored by Dr Tamsin Greenwell, Dr Jeremy Ockrim, and Dr Mahreen Pakzad. During her time at this renowned tertiary referral centre, she gained extensive experience in female genitourinary reconstructive surgery, neurourology, and complex upper tract reconstruction.
In 2019, Dr Anu returned to Sydney to take up a consultant position at St George Public Hospital, making history as the first female Urological Surgeon in the district. She is actively involved with the St George Clinical School and serves as a conjoint lecturer for the University of New South Wales. Dr Anu is a dedicated surgical lecturer, tutor, and interviewer for the selection of surgical trainees. Committed to training the next generation of urologists, she serves as the Supervisor of Training for urology registrars at St George Hospital on behalf of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Training Programme.
